Got home at 3:19 AM this morning from a kick ass concert over in the U.P. on Saturday night!! It took a little over six hours w/pit stops to get there and good thing we planned to grab a bite to eat before the show as we noticed the time on the electronic sign had us switched into EST. So, we walked thru Island Resort & Casino, bought some merchandise, and took our seats. Gary Allan is labelled country but mixes in some rock-n-roll and jazzy/blues too. Tickets had us right in front of the sound guys but during the opening song many rushed the stage and we also went. I've seen it where everyone is forced to return to their spots but this night would allow it which made crazed fans like myself very pleased. We were out of the car a total of three hours and made the same trip in reverse w/a great buzz from the performance.
My run this evening brought me to the merge of Jefferson/Greysolon just before 21st Ave E and some more residential below Hawk Ridge. It was tough peeling my butt off the couch as I had interest in Major League Soccer this afternoon. Getting dressed for yet another cool evening did happen though w/the pleasant surprise that the winds were calm. Wearing a headlamp lately has been constructive for me in keeping the beam of light steady to know I'm not bobbling like Paula Radcliffe. I shouldn't open my mouth as nobody here has anything on her. In some cases, if it's not broke then don't fix it. Otherwise, duration spent on the roads was 72 minutes for the 8.62 miles. My RPE has been really consistent for awhile now and will just gauge from that as I give attention to form. I need to return to the AMAs now.
