can do no harm
No journal entries in the last week because I figured that it would put me at risk. I suffer cases of what some know to be paralysis by analysis. Everything has been just fabulous and when I'm feeling a groove the rhythm must continue uninterrupted. Endurance, force, & speed are the components of training I try to develop into a grand package but usually one is emphasized more than the other two. Right now I seem to be able to tap into any of the three and get only a positive response. For example, Friday, I decided to do both the Carlton Daze 5k and the Midnight Sun/FinnFest 5k six hours apart and ran times that I never would have expected training for an ultra(18:19 and 18:07). Also, my RPE and HR were very low compared to what I usually experience. On Sunday, I easily won the singlespeed MTB race out at Spirit Mountain during the Powder Monkey! Throw in some pedal commuting and easy running w/friends that won't stress my recovery has kept me sharp! Exact units of measurement are something I'm staying free of until after this week has gone by.
