Things have been good of late but that doesn't mean I shouldn't try for more. I entered Hartley at my favorite location off Howard Gnesen near the GC and got the turnover moving. Every stride had what I noticed to be a dead spot. Trail running just has people wanting to wait for the prime moment before setting their foot back down to the ground due to tripping on obstacles. Regardless, I took the chance and had an awesome rhythm established and the effort was less too. I continued thru to the SHT and crossed Woodland Ave to cover the trails near Fryberger Arena. After stopping for a drink of water at the nature center on my way back, all the crouching from building my new bike prior to leaving was evident. Muscle fatigue accompanied by a dull ache in the joints will probably be w/me tomorrow. It was worth it though as the singlespeed kicks ass! Commuting w/an easier ratio now for awhile will help freshen my legs too.
