This afternoon Erik and I went over to Magney-Snively for what was suppose to be an easy 12 miles of trail running. Right from the get go we were sinking in mucky ground that had our shoes covered! One of the goals for this run was to find the entrance to Jarrow's Beach which we never found as the SHT took us away from the search. We followed that that to Mission Creek which provided a nicer surface to lengthen the strides. After climbing back to Becks Road we decided to go back into the ski trails which turned into a big mistake. Not only were we sore and dehydrated but we didn't think the map thru and made a turn that brought us back to the car in the furthest was possible. We laughed about it later and realized we wouldn't have had a story to tell. Sometimes it is hard to gauge time with distance when in the forest!
