Rice Lake TWP 800's

One thing I've noticed living out here is many of the roadways are divided up into half or full mile segments. I've taken my GPS to them and they are exactly .50! Today I decided to iron out my skirt and get down to business. After walking down the hill to W Calvary I started my leisure warmup out to Hwy 4. This stretch of crumbled pavement is two miles with a few roads that intersect at half mile increments. I chose to do four repeats w/a half mile recovery jog between each. For the first three I did the portion between Hwy 4 and Stavenger(2:41, 2:45, & 2:51) and the final one done between Drake and Rutter(2:36). Things went pretty well and my only note for improvement would be in the upper body. My arms driving don't contribute as much as they can. I haven't done any interval type workouts for awhile because the track just feels too unnatural for me. I did this workout w/o ever stopping either which I liked. In the past I'd go so hard I'd pause before resuming the next effort which doesn't simulate competition.

Duration: 45 minutes
Mileage: 6
