in the zone

Yeah, I don't know what it takes to get myself to relax and have a run come so easy at times but I sure do like when it occurs. Dave Pipho met up w/me at my place this morning and we headed north on country roads in what turned out to be ideal conditions. The weather geeks once again tried to scare the northland community calling for 5-10" when in the end we maybe got an inch! The increased humidity though made it so I didn't even take a pull on my bottle. At first we thought we might have had too much clothing on but it all depended on whether the wind was at our backs or not. I can't say enough for how I felt. Hitting on all cylinders and absolutely no aches or pains. Looking forward to more speedwork in the coming week. Picked up the new Brooks T4 Racer and our new team issue uniform on Friday. I haven't been in a flat this light before and I'm not sure how long my body could go in it. Ramping it up in distance for the first couple events will tell a lot.

Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes
