I refuse to do any more plain running until after the new year, so, getting our first significant dumping of powder down in the Lakeside area of Duluth this past evening came when I badly needed such weather. Cycling has been incredible thru Sunday as Henry and I rode cyclocross bikes up the snomo trail in Lester, across the Amity Creek Trail, ending w/a descent from Hawk Ridge & Seven Bridges Road. While my spinning legs feel excellent and this usually transfers over to stomping quite well, it is still paramount that I experience some reassuring form on the decking!
There was plenty of acreage that hadn't seen traffic yet earlier this afternoon which gave me vigor in this activity I enjoy so much!! For me, it was affirmed today while in the depths of pristine snowfall that I need to be doing this purposefully. These devices weren't invented to traverse routes that are already packed rock hard but to explore & revisit those needing help. Maybe I've just been at this too long and demand constant stimulus(?). Regardless, attaching pictures of the scene would be unnecessary for those having the chance to get out in these conditions too.
