IRONMAN wannabe

Well, at least for Sunday I behaved like one. Clint called again for another ride and while we were out he somehow got me interested in the run to follow. After taking him on another of many possible Lakewood Township classic loops I stopped at my place to peel off the nylon/spandex for loose fitting running attire as Clint would roll on for his place in Canal Park. My transition to come upstairs, put my bike away, feed the whining cats, grab a snack, leave a voicemail w/Jen, change outfits, and get out the door again was 13 minutes! I wasn't aware until Clint mentioned that people often do take the time and strip down entirely. Our plan was to run toward each other and we ended up meeting at the sewage holding tank construction area. We would come back and poach six blocks of the new lakewalk extension still in progress and other Lakeside streets & avenues before getting back onto the lakewalk to stride it out and terminate the workout in his part of town. Everything was perfect as Jen got cleared from STRIKE following her final performance of B & B @ the Playhouse to pick me up and take my depleted ass home to eat. Totals: 3 hours 34 minutes on the bike(58 miles) and 1 hour 41 minutes on foot(11 miles).

This effort came completely unplanned and knowing what I do now there is NO reason to go for volume over the next month. Quality is the name of the game as I'm certain I can just get off the couch for long bouts at any given moment.
