At nine bells this morning Erik swung by and we drove up North Shore 61 yet again. Not even a whole day had gone by since we bumped into him and Denise w/their dog Milo in the lot @ Split Rock. It was then that we decided to go the next morning to do the river loop and some additional ski trails on the other side of the highway. Two solid trail runs in as many days and I've got nothing to speak of in terms of IT band issues. I won't press my luck and plan to take a forced rest tomorrow since the last week and a half has included more early awakenings than usual. Plus, I need to do some adjustments to the bike and pull my laces from the shoes for Gear West Duathlon coming up. I never expected to feel this great which is why this event is reinstated on the schedule.
On a side note, these are video clips of a more prestigious ultra MTB race also in Tennessee which the single speeders dominated with their simple drivetrains! However, I could go w/a bit less peanut butter...
