It was the 8th February which came on a Sunday that Jen and I did what we thought would have been our final ski of the season.....should have figured otherwise! Conditions were crusty & quick as expected but I wanted her to see this(probably could have gone w/o though). Plus, being in the woods at night made our situation dicey. Still plenty of snow really and I might take the skate gear out again on a day above 32F. Otherwise, this week ended on a very casual note w/some tromping around Hartley earlier in a group consisting of Jen, her sister and three nieces. Following 12 days in a row on the bike my taint needed a moment alone from the saddle.

Thurs>>35 minutes of snomo trail running on firm but slushy ground w/fartlek on the descent; 149 avg HR + one hour road bike

Sat>>2h40m road bike up Scenic 61 past Russ Kendall's before crossing the expressway to find soft gravel
Sunday>>2 hours of hiking + 1h15m of skiing
