pick a song, USATF ok'd it

Never thought the day would come when I'd exercise w/earbuds. However, since I've really taken to ultra racing on both the bike and foot this will certainly make it easier to get in the necessary LSD. Gregg, if you're reading then let me know what you're using for earbuds as I recall awhile back you mentioned looking for the right one to stay and/or fit in comfy. We're wearing beanies currently which keep them in nicely but we'll be shedding them before too long. Gardner, you've always got music pumping into your head too.....any suggestions? Reverting back to my ways of a few years ago might be the norm following the next couple weeks of tampering w/the program. Consistency has often given me the most dependable responses in training. At this moment, I'm really craving high end performance which has led me to sign up for another race this weekend. This event is in honor of Timmy Dusick which I give the majority of my knowledge about snowshoeing to his credit. He lost an extended battle w/cancer and is the founder of the competition in Eau Claire this Saturday. Otherwise, Tuesday and this afternoon I did a little free running in the park. A progression style effort(34 minutes; avg HR 139 bpm) and random LT intervals when my iPOD shuffled me tunes for speed(43 minutes; avg HR 142 bpm), respectively. The workout today was great because it leaves you in a state of ambiguity due to the next track being maybe two, three, four or more minutes long. Just like in a race when someone attacks...you can bridge the gap in chase but...you may crack trying to outlast a rival!

dave-
i got away from the earbud type...
chris actually lead me to a pair of SONY earphones that have the little hooky thingy that goes around your ear, then the earphone right in your ear.
Target has them for under 20 bucks.
