Weather Dictates

Our meteorologists were accurate in stating when the blizzard would commence and that mercury would drop like a rock all of Sunday. I got out on my snowshoes and did a preview of some of the race course before the ski trails are groomed and I'm no longer allowed on it. Visibility was horrible and my tracks entirely filled in where I left to set out. Conditions like that you've got to seize the moment! I was able to run the whole time and I wish I knew that Jen's show at The Playhouse was cancelled so that I could have stayed in the park. Depth was creaping up quickly though and I'd say ending it when I did was good since my legs hadn't recovered from yesterday.

Spent most of today downloading programs on my desktop as Jen's laptop was consumed by 35 viruses. I was bummed that I didn't pay attention to the clock and only got to throw on my inov8 roclite 305s for a short snomo trail run up to the fourth nordic crossing from the picnic area. These shoes will definitely be my winter running shoes as they've got monstrous lugs to bite into the white! I had this plan of logging road miles and following the 10% rule(somewhat) but after consecutive days on the pavement last week it won't be the ticket as it never has. I'll make visits to crunch #s and see how I'm doing, however, I crave the poor footing and the change that only this season offers. Besides, living near Grandma's course will have me hating that marathon come spring being on it frequently.
