STRESS FRACTURES

Yeah, another bites the dust for G-ma's weekend! The day after my run on Tuesday I woke up to swelling just behind the toes on my right foot. Getting out of bed and taking a couple steps was all I needed to know that something wasn't right. Doc read the films and told me what I suspected I had going on w/my 2nd & 3rd metatarsal heads. I can nearly walk pain free but no push off. Hard soled bike shoes are where my feet will be for awhile maybe. This is good since I've been wanting to get out and had I listened to myself sooner I might have avoided the predicament I'm now facing. Oh well, trial & error will never cease. I tried out my NiteRider early this morning after leaving work out on Jean Duluth & Martin as I was looking for some place really dark. I'll be initiating the battery for weeks before the 24 Hours of Nine Mile. There's going to be nowhere too far that commuting will seem impractical. Who knows, I might heal like a cyborg and still be at the line for the Bjorklund?!.
