reprogramming

It doesn't seem to matter how much of a veteran a person becomes in the endurance sporting world, we all seem to ignore our condition(ill, overtrained, lack of fitness, etc) at one time or another. Today I worked REALLY hard on one thing.....not working hard!! I made sure that I never had any power spikes in effort and kept the overall run easy which is something Gregg and I just discussed last weekend. All of this week I didn't exactly practice this very well and is probably why I feel stale in the head and low energy. This afternoon I focused on being relaxed and finding my own groove rather than marking someone else I normally would on a better day like in the race yesterday. Performing within myself will have to be in the back of my mind for awhile as I have apparently lost touch w/this(especially when I'm suppose to be recovering). Otherwise, I'm trying to breath through my nose to filter out the fog and allergens from getting into my lungs. The asthma hasn't been too bad and I anticipate the light at the end of the tunnel soon.
