Swedish "speed play"

Fartlek, phonetically it can make a person laugh but if done correctly in the runner's world it brings pain. After warming up for a couple miles I began throwing in random bursts using landmarks along the route. The focus was to perform them on the hills with interval/recovery varying. Some were done all uphill and others took me over the peak and on the descent. I felt a need for power yet but I am developing speed. The lack in explosiveness might be from aggressive pedaling to and from work lately w/roads nice and clean.
