In July, of every year, the grandest of all tours happens in France. Whether you're a cycling fan or not.....you've heard the name Lance Armstrong! He delivered many awe-inspiring performances that captivated many bike racers from local to international heroes around the world. I was among them and believed these herculean efforts to be all the more impressive because I honestly had faith that he was clean UNTIL NOW!! This evening 60 Minutes had an interview w/Tyler Hamilton that was almost uncomfortable to watch. It was so apparent in his eyes that he was strung out on emotions related to the darkest of confessions. I praise him for doing this since it will only help a sport ruined by negligence. Can't you see the headlines already,
legacy of the greatest athlete of all time...TARNISHED!!! In our spare bedroom, I had the famous TT image of him from the '99 Tour de France w/a bead of sweat falling off his chin. Looking at that in present time it is soon to be a tear drop from his eye. May God be w/you, Lance, because not many of us are currently.
