TENOSYNOVITIS

What is it you might ask? Inflammation of the lining of the sheath that surrounds a tendon. As an athlete, I know I speak for everyone when saying that it can be difficult training yourself for optimal performance but if you should happen to get hurt along the way, diagnosing and subsequently providing care for an injury is enough to make us shake a fist at the sky! Fortunately, I've got access to an incredible resource at my workplace. Gorby, being twice named the athletic trainer of the U.S. Olympic Baseball Team is enough credentials to plainly leave my thoughts and opinions at the door seeing him. He always knows where to start questioning me in what led to my current situation. This was the easy part since anyone who knows me would ask...why switch from being an off-road dude to pounding asphalt almost exclusively?! Sometimes my motivation and continual desire to be as eco-friendly as humanly possible gets in the way of my rationale. I'm now back to the dirt(or snow until melting) which is what I consider home and not leaving it again!! Various modalities of treatment were used every day this week and they included ultrasound, iontophoresis, E. Stim., massage, stretching, and kinesio tape. Once you get to know him, an individual will see quickly that he's very personable and is straight to the point while being considerate/humorous in times of bad news. "If you were experiencing pain in the cord joining muscle to bone...then you're fucked," was his remark to me and further said, "I've seen these babies so fat and red!!!" However, my case is higher up where muscle fibers begin to squeak which has prompted me to buy some Udo's Oil this week. I'm heading over to Northland Country Club to snowshoe the golf links this afternoon w/Tony & Henry as I got permission from the man that holds my trust guiding me to the big day. Hopefully, there will be positives I can share later on.

Hi Dave! I didn't know you had a blog. Hope you heal that tendon up soon. Later!
