More gravel grinding this weekend & the pattern will continue for a while. Yesterday I took the bike out to hammer as much climbing found in Lakewood Township. I love it out there but the harassment from locals in extended cab dually trucks is relentless! There was a huge vehicle(red in color) that didn't act out in road rage but just hit the accelerator as they passed by to deafen me w/a noisy emission!! Other than that, riding in drizzle near sunset was chilly and two hours even would be enough. I'm having a lot of trouble w/my hips and more strengthening around the whole pelvic region is needed. If ya want a good challenge then include the knob on Pioneer Road between McQuade and Bergquist in your travels. Every time I hit it my lungs feel like they've been upchucked.
This afternoon, Dave Hyopponen picked me up @ Jen's parents where we were celebrated a belated birthday for her dad and drove to the Moose Mountain SNA lot in order to save 5 miles round trip on our run from the normal launching pad. He is really enjoying the different scenery from the high traffic part of town(Central Entrance) in which he lives. We covered some nice ground totaling 13.75 miles @ 7:30 pace. Both of us wanted slower but for some reason the legs were like a metronome as we tried on numerous occasions to back off but to no avail. Cooperative weather again made for another beauty!!!
