hometown buddy directing event

I was looking @ the details for a snowshoe race this weekend down in River Falls, WI and counldn't help but wonder about the organizer's name. How many people out there go by Paul Marietta?? Sure enough, I call him and it is the same one I went to high school with! Been more than a decade but just as easy to catch up in 20 minutes on the phone. There should be more when we grab a few beers after the race. Plus, he's coming for the 20th & final Northwoods Snowshoe Championship next weekend in Duluth. My body is in no shape to compete but I have to support inaugural events. Besides, I was going to the TC for other reasons anyway...
