speedy recovery
Monday evening I ran 41 minutes in Lester Park on the ski trails w/Jen. Tuesday had me on the roads for 3 miles thru Brighton closing in 2:27 for the last 800 meters. Wednesday included the soft pedal commute. Yesterday was back on the streets to peek at the lakewalk progress(ALMOST DONE BY THE WAY!!!!!) for 2.6 miles w/a final kilometer in 3:09 on London. Today, easy bike to and from work. Tomorrow will consist of yoga and general strength routine, making chili, catching a movie & building a fire on the rocks along Lake Superior's north shore. It doesn't sound right nor feel good but keeping the intensity extremely high w/minimal volume the week after an ultra endurance race always seems to reset my systems. Heavily fatigued muscles have me perceptive of susceptible tissue damage I might incur. Erik Kaitala has been chirping enthusiasm about the Minnesota Mile lately and since the Duluth Running Company received comp entries, guess where I'll be Sunday morning???
