The previous week ended w/a cherry on top. All of us have that marker that we like to exceed to really know if things are going well and for me, it's the seven-hour ride. Once I finished watching the boyz & galz pass thru the 2-mile split of the Fitger's 5k it was on my way to Hwy 23. Very scenic route the whole time and the terrain is good in the early parts. I met up w/Jen and her ma as they were shopping @ Tanger Outlets in North Branch. Minimal soreness in the closing 25 miles probably brought on by a sustained pace of 20+ mph. Energy levels were perfect as I felt no depletion. Overall, this was an extremely unchallenging effort. On the following day I wanted to stride a short loop to see how the legs were and the IT band. What a pleasant surprise, pain free and only a bit of heaviness.
