The Duluth Duathlon took place following an earlier morning thunderstorm. With temps expected to be high that meant for some unconfortable weather. Sunshine and humidity usually don't bode well for me but I impressed myself by conquering these brutal conditions. I felt very consistent throughout and had my lub dub under control. I ran a 42x18 ratio on my singlespeed 'cross bike and managed to pull out a 19th place overall. I plan on throwing gears into the equation next spring when I take this multisport stuff more seriously. I enjoy having a cassette on the hub while driving it w/a solo ring on the crank since I buzz a freaky cadence. Very pleased about everything from this effort.
