My legs weren't exactly lively prior to leaving so I decided I'd do an abbreviated length of time. I haven't been to Hartley for awhile and paid it a visit. Immediately after crossing the road from home I saw my HR was @ LT and I was going downhill. This was either a bad sign or I was experiencing a need for jumper cables like I mentioned Tuesday. Once in the singletrack I did a little fartlek where I surged based on feel or a landmark I knew lied ahead. After the first bout my HR came way down. I might have been dehydrated from drinking only coffee. I kept the intermittent accelerations to the flats and descents.
