RENT

Around noon I was swimming and then off to see the musical, RENT in the Duluth Playhouse. Wow, powerful emotions ranged from intense to sad while mixing in bits of humor. It is a biggie that would sound familiar to people even only slightly acquainted to such productions. GO SEE IT!!!

Yesterday, I thru down another monster of a run totaling ~24.5 miles. My goals for this one were to cross the 1200' ridgeline found in the region of Lakewood on roads like Strand, W. Tischer, Riley, & Medin to name some as many times possible. However, Washburn and Parkview that intersect the aforementioned put up stifling gradients that make you want to drop dead by comparison. The first two-thirds of this effort were on pavement and the last 1/3 came in the woods. **an observation that I've been making lately is that the HR average drops markedly when the soreness takes over** Seems obvious I'm sure you're thinking....I know....but it is amazing to me that no matter how tired I feel I'm unable to spike my engine because all agility has been smashed!

Weather has been so perfect that I can't refrain going out to punish myself now again before crunching taxes this evening since ya gotta get 'em mailed as due date is coming soon.
