PCR Open House

Perfect days to be active continue in the northland!!! I originally arranged to meet only Dave Hyopponen in Lester Park this afternoon but that grew to a half dozen which is always fine by me. One of them happened to be Henry Eichman whom I've wanted to meet and hear mentioned quite often from my buddy Pete Sandelin as a talent. Really nice individual and displayed an effortless ability during our 1 hr 37 min trail run. Yours truly guided the group on a loop into the woods that I know like the back of my hand. Using a variety of singletrack to give these men and woman a needed break from the pavement since all of them(except me) did Fitger's 5K the previous morning.

At sunrise on Saturday, I was driving south to Minneapolis for the second time this week to hang w/my Peace Coffee Racing squad @ headquarters where the bean roasters give a lot of TLC to nature's most excellent green! Our membership has gone from 39 to 59 which is great!! We socialized while sipping brew and dunking pastries from Birchwood Cafe. Good thing for this meeting as this was my last batch of cold press Toddy since I had consumed the entire inventory from a shaded cabinet in the kitchen. Besides whole bean I brought home a couple cycling caps and socks w/many promotional items in the bag too. I love everything about their mission statement ranging in fair trade to bicycle & trailer delivery. Plus, when this just isn't feasible they use one of two vehicles powered by biodiesel. I'm so passionate about being environmentally conscious, so, to see an organization practice business like this is really cool.
