powder puff

In lieu of a potential strike @ the clinic I accepted a carrier route w/the Duluth News Tribune about a month ago. To receive a phone call the day after our intent was filed made it feel like I had someone watching over me. A contract has been ratified since & yet I'm still delivering. Fortunately, I got a foot route in Lakeside which is where I live in comparison to the upper Woodland motor route that I first applied for. I consider Piggly Wiggly to Martin Road upper Woodland.....not sure about you??? However, I was asked whether I recognized roads like Normanna, Rice Lake Dam, McComber, etc! The wear & tear I'd put on my car not mention the gas would be ridiculous. So, being able to park centrally and reload my bag a handful of times gives me a nice bit of strength exercise but not much for aerobic as the mileage is trivial. Working two jobs keeps me on the move more than I'd prefer but Jen and I are planning a huge vacation to NYC in early May so the motivation is key. Besides, I hate spring and know that I'm never going to compete again prior to Memorial Weekend as it is like clockwork that my three weeks of respiratory phlegmy allergy will invade me during April. So, rather than just dumping the route and leaving the district manager high and dry to cover me, I decided to make the most of the opportunity as the timing was good. A 30-day notice is asked of you as an independent contractor. This won't be a problem as I'd like to leave on good terms just in case I might find myself in a bind.

Regardless, training has been going extraordinarily well and given me the chance to be outside @ different times. Lucky scheduling recently would make one think I spoke w/mother nature. Saturday night we had perfect singletrack in Hartley and added Tony Stensland & Andy Holak to our group making us six strong!! By 4 AM Sunday morning, I was on my bike and rode the pre-dawn hours before the snow came later. Jen and I went to a dance concert up @ UMD in the afternoon on Valentine's and following that I couldn't resist the temptation to play in the flakes. It has been awhile since I used snowshoes for the intended purpose and it felt great!!!! Ceasing the moment before the city groomers might arrive I ran on both ski and hiking trails. When conditions are prime, even a short hour can seem long as it was so enjoyable. Now I've got to think about my indulgence for FAT TUESDAY...
