group run in the dark

There's nothing quite like headlamps during winter! Saturday nights for the remainder of the season will be a regular and the venue will change between a few places. For this edition, a quartet consisting of Clint Agar, Dudley Edmondson, Dave Hyopponen, & the author strided up the snomo trail in Lester Park @ 6 PM. Great conditions w/very little ice & firm bedding made our experience memorable. We noticed how the sense of sound dominated the visual field but that was heightened too. Ambient light from the city is reflected and refracted as it bounces from the sky to the crusty layer of crystals over the ground. Coming off of Hawk Ridge I guided the men into the MTB system for a bit more adventuresome twist as the culmination neared. Phone the DRC or ask me here if you're interested in the next one.
